TED favorites

As Pam said, we all have our favorite TED videos. Various ones, for various reasons. I just finished watching this first link, for my first time, and my overwhelming thought is, “It doesn’t get any better than this!!!” It is also for those that remember MacGyver. Here is a real one. Saving the lives of his family.

As the song goes, “Don’t worry. Be happy.”

Don’t be sad, thinking about the very large number of people just like William, who have unimaginable potential, yet are trapped and not able to unleash it. Be glad that William has had help, and try to think of ways to find and help the thousands and thousands of others like him. The planet has so much potential that is not being utilized.

Be happy that William WAS helped and he has given us this inspirational message. Here, below, is his first video. It is the transcript page and I think the video will play.

Premiere: William Kamkwamba on building a windmill

They seem to usually have a button that gives you the transcript, which I often like to read.

I also enjoyed this next presentation on a very serious subject. Actually several subjects. Depression and suicide, being just two of them.

Here is an index of the 20 most-watched programs, which might be a fun place to start:
